CNC Machined Steel Hinge for the Telecom Industry

This product is a 303 stainless steel hinge component, manufactured by CGR Technologies Inc. and used by a client in the telecommunications industry. Measuring 0.350" by 0.200" by 0.250" and manufactured to a tolerance of +/- 0.001", this customer required a very fast turnaround time. We designed, built, prototyped, and ran a specialty low volume, 16 piece production run in just five days.

CGR Technologies Inc. used CNC machining for the hinge, and then wire EDM to finish the outside shape. The hinge also required abrasive blasting to smooth the surface, which we achieved through a bead blasting process. To complete production, a passivation process was applied to the finished hinges. We were able to use our experience and core competencies to carry out all of these processes and deliver a high-quality part to our customer within a strict time frame.
