Silver Compliant Pin for Automotive Electronics

Serving a client in the automotive industry, CGR Technologies Inc. manufactures a compliant pin made of alloy C7025, used as an electrical connector in an automotive electronics system. This compliant pin is manufactured using a reel to reel progressive stamping process, and features an eye of the needle (EON) design, creating a spring-like flexibility to handle the stress of pin insertion. Here at CGR Technologies Inc; we handled the design and build of the product, and handled all necessary tooling and fixturing in-house, including the progressive die build.

The compliant pin is a high-precision product, and our manufacturing is carried out to a tolerance of +/- 0.001". This particular pin measures 1.125" x 0.400" x 0.090". Once the base alloy 7025 pin is stamped, we applied a selective plating process using bright silver, bright tin, and ductile nickel. With a five week lead time for this 24,000 piece order, we completed an on-time delivery of the precision built compliant pin to our customer.
